While You’re Here Collective

While You’re Here Collective is a submission based digital repository dedicated to documenting experiences of sexual assault and violence. Submissions can be made anonymously by everyone across the globe. The online digital repository was founded by Ritika, a PhD Candidate researching on sexual and gender-based violence.

Our Mission

Ovur mission is to create a safe and inclusive space where individuals can share their stories, raise awareness, and inspire change. We are committed to amplifying voices that often go unheard, building empathy through shared experiences, and fostering a community that supports healing, understanding, and social impact.

Our Vision

To become a trusted global platform where every voice matters, every story is respected, and shared experiences drive awareness, empathy, and lasting social change.

“There is an immediate need to develop a strategy of redressal that goes beyond selective publication, and televization through which sexual and gender-based violence of only a handful of victims comes to light. The archive will enable victims and survivors to utilize their agency to narrate their accounts on their terms that transcends the opinions that decides which narratives are worthy of publication and telecasting. The online space will be able to contest the ostracization that results from the survivor and their families speaking out. I would also like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to Professor Zoya Hasan and Jamia Millia Islamia’s committee of Mushriul Hassan Doctoral Fellowship for funding this project.”
